Tony performs with a variety of guitars on stage. These provide the various lead voices he requires including synthesizer voices. Tony is backed up by a flexible computer system driving back-up music – a virtual band providing keyboards, basses, drum kits, strings etc. All this music is meticulously programmed in by Tony note for note in his studio on the Skykomish River. He carefully transcribes motifs and themes into a computer language called MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface). The entire show is controlled by three footswitches, allowing Tony to be a “one man band”.
“I take a great deal of care and time in the composition of the MIDI code. I make sure that the virtual bands are humanized with variation and skill. I take pride in these creations.”
